Fancy Pants

ZARA clutch
RI jacket
TANYA BURR lip gloss 'Vampire Kiss'

I'm back! After what seemed like an eternity, I have finally handed in my dissertation and finished my degree. <Insert HUGE sigh of relief here> It's been a little while since I blogged but I'm hoping to get into a bit of a better routine with it now I've finished university and should have a little more time on my hands to focus on it.

All that aside, can we just take a minute to appreciate this gorgeous Rare London piece? Ya'll know I can't resist a jumpsuit and when this one arrived on my doorstep, well, it was love. Sleek, sophisticated, and fits like a dream, what more does one want in a jumpsuit really? I'm pretty sure one of those MIC girls owns it too, so if it's good enough for Millie, it's probably good enough for me. ;-) Rare has lots of other gorgeous playsuits and jumpsuits, so make sure you take a look on their website!

I thought this would also be the perfect opportunity to finally showcase these beautiful Daniel Footwear heels on the ol' blog too. They're the perfect nude shade and I've not had a night out where I haven't worn them since they arrived! They also look amazing paired with simple skinny black jeans, or a pencil skirt for a date night. Ultra sophisticated, anyone else seeing a pattern here?

I hope you all enjoyed your Easter weekend - although I realise it was a few days ago now, so we've all kinda forgotten it even happened.

Lots of love!

Kate Moss x Topshop 2014

Kate Moss x Topshop 2014
Kate Moss x Topshop 2014

Kate Moss is launching a new collection for Topshop, in case you hadn't heard. I remember the original from seven years ago, I'm pretty sure there was an oriental style one shoulder dress that I had my eye on. Having grown up a lot since last time, Kate has described her new collection as "sophisticated". Well, there's an awful lot of feathers and fringing for me to entirely agree. What do you think?

They've definitely chosen the best of the bunch for the campaign shots, as there's not a lot from the rest of the collection that particularly takes my fancy. It's all very 20s flapper meets 70s boho, which is probably what you would expect from a Kate Moss range. There are a few gorgeous pieces, the fringed leather jacket and flapper dress spring to mind, but I don't think I'll be rushing out the door on the 30th April to bag myself anything.

All in all Kate Moss has done really well to encapsulate her signature style into a cool and wearable collection for Topshop - plus she looks amazing in everything. It's definitely better than the Nicole for Missguided range, but nothing has compared to Isabel Marant for H&M yet in the collaboration stakes!

What do you think of the Kate Moss x Topshop 2014 collection? Let me know!

Mellow Yellow

Yellow Primark Gingham Topshop
Yellow Primark Gingham Topshop
Yellow Primark Gingham Topshop

Yellow Primark Gingham Topshop

TOPSHOP skirt & top & sunglasses
PRIMARK bag
NEW LOOK shoes
RI watch

I've been seeing a lot of pretty yellow on the high street recently and I don't know about you, but I dig it. I have been on the hunt for a new Spring and Summer bag lately as all mine seem to be falling apart at the seems or just generally too big for everyday use - and I'm totally not just trying to justify yet another purchase, promise. I spotted this luminous little thing in Primark for a mere £8 and it fitted all of my S/S bag requirements, so I snapped it straight up. I like it because it has a long strap so I don't actually have to hold it if I don't want to, bonus. Plus it completely alters an otherwise monochrome outfit and transforms it into something far more exciting for Spring. Ta da!!

I paired my fabulous new bag with a Bardot-style gingham crop top, a little black A-line skirt and the shoes I seem to wear in every single outfit post. I 'toughened up' the otherwise pretty cute outfit with my oh-so-cool aviator style sunglasses that I've recently rediscovered and haven't been seen without since. Sorted.

Did ya'll notice I'm wearing my hair in a side parting today? I used to wear it like this all the time but I've been trying to cover up my undercut (I know, so alternative) whilst I grow it out. I'm thinking about doing a 'festival-inspired hair looks' post soon, considering all the cool kids are off to Coachella this weekend. I might do. I might not. We'll see.

Catch you later kids

MYZINE Launch

On Thursday afternoon last week I caught the train into London to meet my gorgeous friend Allie for dinner in Mayfair, before heading to a swanky launch event for MYZINE UK. We went to a lovely restaurant called 'Burger and Lobster' where Allie and I were brave enough to try lobster for the first time ever (and LOVED it!) The restaurant decor had that stripped back vibe that many London restaurants seem to like, with lots of bare wood and individual hanging light bulbs. I thought it was pretty cool.

Anyway, after stuffing our faces and finishing off the first of several glasses of wine of the evening, we headed to the MYZINE launch. There were lots of yummy canapes and cocktails for us to enjoy, and we got to meet the girls behind the company and learn a bit more about what MYZINE is. Basically, it's a fashion portal where bloggers can create their own shoppable magazines. So you upload your looks and people can shop what you're wearing directly from them. This makes it a very functional platform, while still looking fantastic visually too!

I think the concept of this new platform is really interesting, and I'm excited to get involved. Be sure to check out their website to find out how you can join in the fun!
